This beginner-friendly course covers ALL topics in algebra I and is beneficial to both students struggling in algebra concepts and those who want a review of topics they have covered or will cover in the coming school year. Materials needed for this course include scratch paper and something to write in. No prerequisties are needed although a strong foundation in pre-algebra is encouraged. The topics covered in this course include: - solving equations/inequalities - working with units - linear equations & graphs - sequences(i.e. geometric and arithmetic) - functions (piecewise, absolute) - system of equations - quadratics(factoring, graphing) - exponential growth & decay - exponents & radicals (their properties) - irrational numbers - real life application of algebra(word problems)
