Ahmed did a wonderful job creating a welcoming, relaxed learning atmosphere. He properly introduced himself and acknowledged each of the learners in attendance. He demonstrated his vast knowledge while still maintaining an environment where learners could feel comfortable asking questions. He assured the learners at the end of the session that he would be more than happy to help them with biology in the future, extending the tutor-learner relationship and reinforcing a sense of support. I think that directly communicating with the learners by name would help build upon this foundation, allowing them to feel like a valuable member in the session!

Ahmed did a wonderful job running this session. It was incredibly informative and thorough. He explained each and every fact in detail and clarified learners' confusion as needed. The visuals Ahmed used were very helpful in providing the learners with a deeper understanding of the complex material. His handwriting and drawings were clean/clear and allowed learners to grasp the material more easily. He went slow through complicated topics and made sure to walk step-by-step through the biological processes he was discussing, allowing the learners to solidly comprehend the material. I think reminding the learners to take screenshots of the infographics or take notes would be beneficial, but other than that, Ahmed did a wonderful job running a smooth and informative session.

Wonderful job Encouraging the student learners to be more engaged with the session.I loved how you went to great details on energy utilization and especially the different types of nutrition and allow them to ask their questions in regards to it. I love how you rewarded your rebuttals. Versus the explanation you gave initially for this concept so great job

Ahmed did a good job of prompting the learners to answer questions and think critically about the concept, but he would greatly benefit from doing so more often. Biology can be a daunting topic, and cellular respiration is an incredibly complex process! I think the learners would have grasped the material on an even deeper level if Ahmed asked them to respond more frequently and with more detail, rather than just with one word replies. It can be difficult to make sure that each and every learner remains engaged throughout the entire session, so making an effort to pause and interact with each learner much more frequently would be beneficial. In this session, the learners responded very rarely and had little talk time. Ensuring that the learners are actively participating (either audibly or via the chat) throughout the entire session will increase their likelihood of joining more sessions in the future!
