Guwani has been such an outstanding tutor! She is always so patient with us and makes sure we understand the material and even stays later after class to help us when we need it. I can tell that she is very hardworking and really wants us to succeed, and I appreciate her and her amazing efforts!

You were prepared with a clear plan for the session, and you guided learners through multiple problem types that align well with the SAT! Your ability to explain both calculator-based and manual solution methods was especially helpful. One area for improvement would be organization and clarity in explanations, as some steps became confusing when the notation was inconsistent, or you went back to certain ideas multiple times. Clearly structuring each solution from start to finish would help learners follow along more confidently. But overall, you ran the session smoothly and conveyed a deep understanding of the material!

Guwani, you showed clear awareness of when learners were struggling and made efforts to adjust your explanations in response! For example, when students were confused about absolute value equations or why expressions were separated into two cases, you re-explained and used examples to clarify. You also reassured students that confusion was okay and offered to explain concepts again. My only suggestion is that some explanations became a little confusing and could be improved. Providing a concise, organized explanation with clear examples could help learners more effectively. But overall, again, you adjusted as needed very well throughout the session!

Guwani, you consistently engaged learners by asking questions, inviting them to share answers in the chat, and encouraging them to explain their thinking aloud! You often asked questions like “Did you get it?” or “Does anyone want to explain?” which helped learners be involved rather than passive. You also allowed learners time to work independently before reviewing solutions together, which is great! One possible improvement would be to call on quieter learners politely or use visual participation strategies (such as having learners annotate or write steps) to make sure everyone is actively engaged throughout longer explanations. But overall, you were great at engaging the learners actively!

Guwani, you created a comfortable learning environment where learners felt comfortable admitting confusion and asking questions! You were patient and understanding, and you continuously reassured students that difficult problems were normal and that they could always ask for help. Learners openly shared when they were struggling and asked questions, which means they were comfortable! To strengthen learner confidence even more, you could say things like “That’s a great approach," especially during challenging problems, as this reassurance will make them less nervous to approach more difficult problems. But overall, the learning environment was comfortable and welcoming, which is great!
