You sought to understand you learner when she struggled. You asked her what she did not understand, and she freely expressed where she was confused. You noticed when she was struggling and were able to offer different types of explanations. You also centered the entire session around her unique needs. You let her bring all of the questions and lead the discussion. You were also willing to help out with her "nature math" even if you did not fully understand it.

Your session was super engaging! You and your learner exchanged ideas back and forth the entire time. You learner was just as invested in the session as you were. You also encouraged her to explain her ideas at every opportunity. You did not force her when she was stuck, but you let her explain her process when she had ideas. You also built on her ideas by showing her easier ways to tackle certain topics.

Whenever your learner was confused, you helped him out and made sure he understood the problem. Great job. IT also seemed like you built off of his knowledge as well, especially when he just needed a nudge to get the problem solved.

Really nice job getting your learner to take control of the problem. However, it looks like you still do most of the talking. Try getting your learner to talk more; it will help you out so you don't have to talk as much and will help him as well. By vocalizing his thought process, he will be better able to solve problems in the future and you will be able to correct his errors more easily. Anyways. it looks like you still did quite a nice job with engaging your learner. I also liked how you congratulated him sometimes or asked him "How did you get that," to get him to talk a bit more. Follow up questions are really a nice way to get your learner to participate, so keep on doing that!

Your learning environment was awesome. You have obviously had sessions together before. You listened respectfully when she opened up about her family issues and did not push her boundaries. You strengthened her confidence by being empathic and real about your own struggles. Also, good job being aware of schoolhouse policy regarding the music. You two seem super comfortable with each other, which is the best type of environment for learning; keep it up!

You ran a smooth session. Your learner was unable to share her screen at first, but you fixed that immediately and the issue did not persist. You did a great job using annotations throughout the session! You also have a great understanding of the material. You were able to offer clear explanations and answers for questions you have not prepared for in advance. You were also able to describe so some the "whys" as well as the "hows" in your explanations.

The learner was not at all afraid of engaging with you much, so that means you created a really comfortable learning environment for him. I would say though, he did seem a bit shy. Don't neglect those icebreakers in the beginning of the session or just linger on a conversation a bit more. It seems like you asked the learner about his day, but didn't progress further. Try to get him more comfortable next time! Also, try to call on your learner's name a bit more. Not sure if I missed it, but you might not have called your learner by his name much. Theres some psychological stuff behind it but basically it makes the session more personable and easier for the learner to communicate how he really wants to. Overall, good stuff!

Really nice job with the session! I liked how you went over every problem slowly and methodically! You came prepared to get going with the session so props to you. Also, it seemed like you knew what you were doing and made sure to get your learner to engage. Instead of making the mistake of not letting your learner participate much, your learner took a more active role in the session, which is exactly how it should be! Good job using the annotation feature too to show your work to the learner.
