Vansh you created a comfortable learning environment where every one was given chance to solve problems and you helped them step by step to solve the problems. You may also try having other learners solve the problem and explain if say Carolina or Erfan are stuck then Nirvan/Avantika can help solving the question and then have conversation on explanation. This may help more learner to learner interaction and community feeling build up. Something you may try in next session. Also having slides usage for topics refresher will be helpful and can be used once some learner is unable to answer the question. Overall great job done as I could see that you were well prepared and spent good of amount of time in helping the learners to solve problems on this topic.

Vansh you did awesome job in conducting this session for "multiplying and dividing complex numbers" topic. You did great in covering multiple questions and asking all learners to solve problems. You also helped them actively when required to make them feel comfortable and also help them solve problem step by step. So awesome job on that. Also you demonstrated great understanding of topic as you were able to solve and answer most of learners questions as needed. I believe you have shared the whiteboard as you mentioned in beginning and learners were able to see it. Somehow its not visible to me in the recording and shows black screen. So I am not sure if you have used slides or not. Slides are also effective way to explain the topic to learners as refresher when they need help. For example when Carolina or Erfan struggled to solve the problem you did great in helping them solve step by step but can also cover some more theory around the topic which they did mistake as betterment.

The tutor did a great job of explaining information when learners didn't remember it from previous sessions. He was also very understanding when a learner was new to the sessions, or when a learner had to leave early. However, whenever a learner would misunderstand, the tutor had a tendency to take over the problem instead of guiding them through it. To improve, the tutor could refrain from giving the answer to the learner directly, and instead ask them questions that lead them to that conclusion themselves.

The tutor did a great job of encouraging the learners to speak up and work on problems together. I particularly liked how the tutor had each learner do problems on their own and explain their thought process. The tutor could improve by encouraging the learners to think through the problems more for themselves. There were a few problems where Carolina, for example, demonstrated that she didn't fully understand the concepts. The tutor could've asked more questions about her thinking to gauge her attention and encourage her understanding.

I think you did an excellent job when it came to developing a humanistic connection with your learners. This is because you allowed them to express their thoughts before you helped navigate them even if they didn't know with another student's example. As a result, they were eventually able to master the material, proven with their ability to solve the problems on their own more often towards the end. Additionally, you mantained the right tone and attitude with your learners, creating a comfortable learning environment. Great job!

I think you did an excellent job when it came to the foundations of this session. This is because you knew the process in which you would present the concepts and had a set of practice problems, ensuring an organized and smoothly ran session. Additionally, you have an excellent understanding of connecting between radicals and exponents. The main thing that helped your learners deeply understand the concept is to understand simplifying fractions which helped conceptualize equivalent rational expressions and converting both ways, which allowed your learners to feel more comfortable in the concept. Great job here!

Thank you for the session! You are probably one of the most patient tutors I´ve met! And I'm learning a lot about radicals and exponents even though I used to struggle more with them.

The tutor strengthened Arsh’s confidence by praising correct answers, like “That’s great” for solving the arc length 20π/3 cm. The tutor also created a comfortable environment by encouraging questions and correcting errors, like Arsh’s unit mistake (cm to cm²), with patience.
Tutor · 5 mo. ago
“
The tutor was ready to teach and introduced circles and explained arc measure with the formula θ/360 = s/2πr and a clear example of a 60 degree arc with a 6-unit radius yielding 2π. The tutor also showed strong knowledge by using a whiteboard to illustrate sector area, like calculating 205.042 cm² for a 120 degree angle with a 14 cm radius. However, starting with even a basic review of circle basics could ensure Arsh’s prior knowledge is solid.

Vansh you did great job in continously engaging with learners as you gave opportunity to very learner to solve the problems turn by turn. Also you asked them to explain or solve step by step which kept them engaged. You also did great in helping them solve step by step with your guidance when stuck. This is evident when Carolina was given identity question and she mentioned that finding hard to solve so you worked with her to solve the problem step by step. So awesome job. One thing you may try more in next session is asking the learners more about reasoning or thought process so that you can correct their base understanding and not just helped with specific problem solving. You may also try asking some theory related questions in beginning before starting the problem solving to check if learners needs any help and then you can adapt to their level before conducting the questions this may help them understand better. However at the same time solving themselves problem also re enforces learning so covering different problems like you did was awesome. Overall great job done!

Thank you for another fun series Vansh! I think you're one of the best teachers on this platform, as you have a perfect mix of teaching and letting us work out math problems. Each session is super engaging, and I appreciate the patience you have as we solve the problems. Thanks again!

The tutor did a great job of being patient with learners and asking them questions. The tutor could improve by providing more direct and encouraging feedback, and asking simpler questions to guide the learner through a problem instead of taking over. Instead of responding to learner with "No" and then an explanation when the learner gets a question wrong, the tutor could ask why they thought that way and gently guide them to the correct answer. The tutor could also benefit from encouraging the learners more directly when they get a problem right, even something as simple as, "Great job with that problem" could be very impactful!

The tutor did a great job of providing a white board for the learners as well as practice problems. The tutor came prepared and his explanations were very good. To improve, the tutor could ask more questions about what the learners were thinking. For example, instead of asking if the learner understands a certain problem, he could ask the learner to explain the process they used to get to the correct answer.

I think you did well when it came to adapting to your learner. You did excellent in making sure you attended to your learner's questions and struggles, showing your attention as a tutor and for them to master the content. Additionally, you helped clarify concepts (Ex. (x/y)^2) when they didn't understand it, reexplaining it in a different way so they can best learn the content. Again, when your learners directly admit their struggles, you should try to support them immediately rather than skipping over them so you can understand their thinking process and how you can adapt to them.

I think you did a good job when it came to engaging with your learners. This is mainly because you made sure they were involved with the problems you created, allowing them to answer the questions and making sure they explained their thinking. That's excellent in understanding your learner's thinking process and their approach. My suggestion to you, however, is to be more consistent at it. For example, when your learners didn't know how to solve the problems, it was better to ask an open-question (Ex. What approaches have you tried?) and to summarize those steps rather than skipping over them. You want to make sure all of your learners are doing what's best so they can be engaged. (I recommend searching up the concept motivational interviewing to learn more about it)

The tutor noticed Arsh’s struggles about angle 2 and clarified that inscribed angles are half the arc measure, explaining how 65 degree for a 130 degree arc. The tutor also adapted by reviewing central versus inscribed angles, making sure that Arsh understood concepts like a 80° arc equaling an 80° central angle. One point of improvement could be using simpler examples before complex ones as it could help Arsh understand the concepts more easily.
Tutor · 5 mo. ago
“
The tutor kept Arsh engaged by asking him to solve problems, such as finding a 65 degree inscribed angle from a 130 degree arc measure. The tutor encouraged Arsh to explain his reasoning, like why angle 1 was 30 degrees due to vertically opposite angles, fostering active participation. I would suggest adding a short activity, like discussing real-world circle applications, to enhance engagement and make the session more interesting for the learner.
