Thank you for dedicating a time on my college essay! I really appreciate that. Good luck with your later studies.

Kevin created a comfortable learning environment from the start, by telling the learner it's no problem for being late, and relating to the learner by saying it is also his first time. When the learner got questions wrong he made sure to encourage the way she's thinking before he corrected her.

He understands the material very well, and is quickly able to understand where the learner messes up and how to explain the correct solution. He explains the concepts descriptively, such as when he asks her if the line is crossing the line or just approaching it, and then telling her that is an asymptote. By explaining the definition before assigning the vocab term it makes it less complicated.

You did great on introducing yourself at the beginning and making sure you pronounced the learners name correctly. You also asked questions to her directly, and encouraged her when she got it right ("Thats a good question", "Great job"). The learner also seemed comfortable with asking questions and sharing her thoughts.

Because this was a live help session, there was no specific material to be prepared; however, you conveyed a very good understanding of the material your learner asked you about, and were able to guide her through the steps of solving the problems very well.

Kevin made sure he didn't spend too much time on stuff the learner already knew and focused on the specific questions they didn't. Whenever she had specific questions, such as about the visualization of topics, he made sure to adapt to her needs.

While explaining the broader concept of IVT, he asked the learner if she knows certain jargon he's using ("a continuous function") and to explain it. He also asked her to explain how to do all the practice questions, and didn't solve them for the learner.

You did a great job of making sure that the learner was following along and didn't have any questions while you were going through teh problems. You also re-explained things as needed whenever she was uncertain, so great job!

You did a really good job with always asking the learner how she would solve the problem rather than doing the whole problem yourself, I think that's super helpful. To make it even better, you could ask more follow up questions to her explanation to make sure she has a solid understanding go the material, but great job overall.
