Physics ⚡️

    Ended Mon, Apr 17, 2023

This will review both AP Physics 1 and Regents Physics exam content. Some sessions will only be for regents students as the regents exam is broader in its content (it covers standing E&M, waves, and modern physics. All 3 of which are not topics on the AP Physics 1 exam in 2023), but less in depth. The only session that could be for AP Physics 1 would be rotational motion, which isn't covered on the regents exam. Here are the AP Physics 1 topics at a glance (although it says 2021 at the bottom, it applies for 2023): https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/media/pdf/ap-physics-1-course-at-a-glance.pdf Here are the regents topics at a glance: https://www.csh.k12.ny.us/site/handlers/filedownload.ashx?moduleinstanceid=1009&dataid=4747&FileName=physics%20review%20summary.pdf This is everything in AP Physics 1, plus electricity and magnetism (E&M) (minus the math, capacitors), waves, and modern physics. We'll do some FRQ's and a couple of MC questions together from past regents exams, AP FRQ's, and some problems from David Morin's Problems and Solutions in Introductory Mechanics book, the first four chapters of which are free online. You should learn the topic before each session, although I will give a 10ish minute review of each topic before we start any problems. I also provided resources to learn the topics in the group chat. Thus, sessions will be problem oriented. Different explanations of the same topics increase your fundamental understanding of that topic, which is what physics is about: applying a few fundamental ideas to any problem.
