About

Hi, I’m currently a high school student in New York looking to foster thoughtful student-led discussions! I love to run and am on my schools XCTF team, and also like to participate in congressional debate.

Upcoming Sessions

Dialogue Session

    Starts

Welcome to [Dialogues](https://schoolhouse.world/dialogues)! In this session, we will be discussing Tariffs and Global Trade and using this [discussion guide](https://schoolhouse.world/redirect?code=Mjh84s5FT6MQYI2WlznEc). Here’s some helpful information to help you prepare for your session: 📌 Session introduction: At the start of the session, the event host will provide some introductory remarks about how the session will work and tips for discussion. 🧩 Discussion partner matching: All participants will be matched with a conversation partner to discuss with. If there are uneven numbers, you may have two conversation partners. 🤝 Breakout discussions: After the session introduction, everyone will switch to their breakout discussion. Your discussion will be unmoderated, so you can start when your partner arrives in the new Zoom link. 🗺️ Discussion Guide: You will have a topic-specific discussion guide for the session to help guide conversation. ⏰ Session length: The breakout discussions are scheduled for 45 minutes but you can discuss as long as you want! ✅ Stay on topic: Please make sure to stay on topic. If you and your partner run out of things to discuss, it’s okay to end the discussion early. You will not be returning to the main group when your conversation is over. 🤔 Make the discussion your own: You probably won’t have time to answer all the guide questions so pick and choose! Feel free to also bring in your own questions and ideas outside of the guide. 📝 Survey: A mandatory survey will appear at the end of your session to fill out. This must be filled out for you to get credit for the session in your Dialogues portfolio. 🤸‍♂️ Have fun: There is no preparation needed for this event. These conversations are meant to be casual, in addition to being meaningful. We hope you enjoy it!

Mondays 12:00 AM, Sundays 11:00 PM

Welcome to our Dialogue Club!!! We are excited for you to be a part of our discussions! Don’t worry if you’re uncomfortable with discussing—our dialogue club is a welcoming space where everyone grows at their own pace, and your voice matters just as much as anyone else's. 🙃 Our club's focus will be a range of social issues addressing government policy, societal ethics and the role of technology in the future. We will talk about how we can elicit change within our communities by addressing the issues through speech and dialogue. Our dialogue club runs every two weeks to discuss a new topic. By participating in 3+ Dialogue sessions, you will get a Dialogues portfolio you can submit with your college applications to our university partners. Below, we will post our topic which will be covered in our weeks together: Session 1: Social Media & Youth Session 2: Free Speech vs Hate Speech Session 3: Euthanasia & Assisted Dying Session 4: Immigration Session 5: Universal Basic Income Session 6: Artificial Intelligence
