About

Hi, I’m currently a high school student in New York looking to foster thoughtful student-led discussions! I love to run and am on my schools XCTF team, and also like to participate in congressional debate.

Kanika R's and Naya J's Dialogue Club

    Sundays 11:00 PM

Welcome to our Dialogue Club!!! We are excited for you to be a part of our discussions! Don’t worry if you’re uncomfortable with discussing—our dialogue club is a welcoming space where everyone grows at their own pace, and your voice matters just as much as anyone else's. 🙃 Our club's focus will be a range of social issues addressing government policy, societal ethics and the role of technology in the future. We will talk about how we can elicit change within our communities by addressing the issues through speech and dialogue. Our dialogue club runs every two weeks to discuss a new topic. By participating in 3+ Dialogue sessions, you will get a Dialogues portfolio you can submit with your college applications to our university partners. Below, we will post our topic which will be covered in our weeks together: Session 1: Social Media & Youth Session 2: Free Speech vs Hate Speech Session 3: Euthanasia & Assisted Dying Session 4: Immigration Session 5: Universal Basic Income Session 6: Artificial Intelligence

The conversation has really been great for me. I was always having the fear to talk in English (as it wasn't my first language). But now, I was at least able to speak up. This conversation is a turning point for me in terms of learning to be confident to speak. I appreciate Naya for being really friendly and this conversation was really a great and engaging one.

Thank you so much! This session was a lot of fun- there was a good flow to the conversation and I dont feel like we relied on the guide too much but it was also helpful for whenever we got stuck.

You explained this concept aptly to people who have never done anything like Dialogues before. I appreciate your great directions and your quick speech. Overall, thank you for your commitment to our youth and higher learning!
