Excellent job at adapting to your learner's specific needs and circumstances! Communicating with a learner who is outdoors is definitely challenging, but you handled it very well! I appreciate how you accommodated them by communicating via Zoom chat and also shared your screen to provide some live visuals. Another thing I liked is that you asked for their experience with the DSAT before you started your lesson. It's definitely important to understand a learner's initial position. Great job!

The tutor consistently asked "what step do you think you'd do" instead of just going through the whole problem. She worked through a variety of problems, and made sure the learners were guiding the session based on their knowledge, rather than them just following. She also confirmed their knowledge, asking them if they understood at the end.

You did a great job at engaging with your learner through the chat! It seems that they were outdoors and could only communicate through the chat, but you did a great job at adapting to their situation! I liked how you continuously asked questions to get to know your learner better. For example, asking if they had ever taken the DSAT before was an excellent question because it helps you understand them better. You also regularly asked your learner for input, which helped them actively engage.
