Math for the December 2025 SAT

Wednesdays 6:00 PM, Fridays 6:00 PM

Hi, my name is Gunay, and I'm really excited to help you prepare for the SAT! This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Math. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

Gunay, you clearly established a clear structure for the session, successfully covering key elements like function basics, notation, evaluation, and word problems. You used an effective analogy of a function as a machine and provided correct definitions for core components such as slope-intercept form (y=mx+b), dependent/independent variables, and the y-int. The session was slightly interrupted by technical disruptions, including apologies for the presentation being off, and a brief moment of conceptual confusion where you mislabeled the variables (rate of change vs. time/quantity) during one explanation of the y=mx+b formula. As a suggestion, try to review the material one last time before the session to prevent accidentally teaching the students the wrong method.
