Love your energy!

Again, great job with this. You didn't overexplain, and you let the learner take the lead once they felt okay. You're in tune with your students' needs, and you push them to do better. This is shown when you push the students to provide reasoning for their answers, and have direct evidence, while also sharing different methods of eliminating answers (period=semicolon).

You used popcorn reading in a productive way, making students feel comfortable with trying out the problems out loud. You also guided them to the right answer by sharing the general guidelines for picking an answer in the SAT R&W section. 10/10

Thank you!

You created a very comfortable, supportive, and non-judgmental learning environment. You shared personal experiences ("I struggled with the most, but in the end, it was something that I was the most confident on") to build rapport and demonstrate empathy. You consistently used encouraging language ("You guys are doing great," "That's a great explanation," "Perfect," "Amazing") and reassured students that it was okay to make mistakes ("Getting it wrong is actually a good thing. This is just to help you."). When Samriddhi asked if she could "just be like, my gut says it's semicolon?" you provided a nuanced and supportive answer, validating her intuition while also explaining the importance of logical reasoning for harder problems. You also encouraged students to "definitely trust your gut" and not "doubt yourself."

You were exceptionally well-prepared, beginning the session promptly and having your introductory slides and practice questions ready. Your clear explanation of the SAT Reading & Writing section's structure, including the two adaptive modules, domains (Craft and Structure, Information and Ideas, Standard English, Expression of Ideas), and scoring implications, demonstrated a deep understanding of the test. You broke down complex grammar rules (periods/semicolons, colons, FANBOYS, run-on sentences) with clarity and provided relatable examples ("I went to the mall. I bought a plushie."). You skillfully connected the theoretical knowledge to practical application, as seen when you explained why periods and semicolons being interchangeable can help eliminate answer choices.

Thank you so much!! I wasn't too sure or comfortable about how to go about hosting my own, but I feel much more prepared now.

Thank you so much for the session I really enjoyed it. I feel like I learned a lot about colons and semi-colons.

Thanks

The session was very helpful to me especially the case scenarios. This was the most helpful part due to her using actual real life scenarios that happen to tutors. Also I liked the part where we analyzed the acts of other tutors, how they acted and how it can be improved.

Thank you so much!! I really enjoyed the session. Just something to know about me is that I have a pretty hard time with the subjects of reading and writing in general and I really appreciate your help! Once again thank you so much for taking time during your week to help me out!!

Thanks a lot

You were super reassuring and kind throughout the process. You made your learners feel seen by encouraging them to speak up and move through the questions with you, and developing a connection with them through the icebreaker. Amazing job! You used cold-calling in a beneficial and warm (lol) way.

You effectively identified and addressed student struggles. When students couldn't turn on their cameras, you quickly adapted by emphasizing chat communication. During the grammar explanation, you paused to clarify what an "emphasis point" meant when asked by Kandace. For the first practice question, you recognized Samriddhi's partial understanding and gently prompted her to fully articulate why certain answers were wrong. When Kandace expressed confusion about the meaning of "acquired" in the second practice question, you provided a clear definition and then guided her to see why it didn't fit the context, even though she had initially arrived at the correct answer through elimination. Your willingness to break down concepts further and provide tailored explanations demonstrates strong adaptability.

You created a very engaging and interactive environment from the start. Your icebreaker (name, fun facts, SAT experience) helped personalize the session and gather crucial information about students' starting points. You continuously encouraged participation, both verbally and through the chat, even when students were initially hesitant: "Does anyone want to volunteer and try this question? I can also call on someone, but I don't… I really don't want to do that one." When a student, Samriddhi, did volunteer for the grammar question, you patiently guided her through her reasoning, asking clarifying questions ("What would a comma be without... a FANBOYS?" and "And why would D be wrong?") to solidify her understanding and articulate her thought process. You also actively acknowledged and responded to chat messages and direct questions from students like Kandace.
