The learner felt comfortable saying when they didn't understand which was a result of the tutor's comfortable session environment. This in turn allowed the tutor to be able to see when each learner was struggling and from this information, the tutor was able to explain concepts until the learner understood. The explanations were very successful, but could be further personalized to the learner's skill level.

The tutor is exceptionally well-versed in inferencing questions and provides very detailed and specific explanations to why certain answer choices are wrong or incorrect. For instance, the tutor repeatedly helps the learner understand that these questions require only information from the text and that you do not need to think creatively, a practice that she drives home through each practice question. The tutor also adds more general English tips at the very end of the session to address the learner's additional questions.
