You definitely were well prepared to teach this session! You had a bunch of practice problems and really good explanations. I also loved that you broke each question down into simpler chunks. For example, for the question about how to connect independent cluases, you said the first step was to figure out that it was two independent clauses(and explained what those were), then how you would normally connect those two things, and finally brought it back to the question by looking at the answer choices and explaining which answer would be correct.

Thank you for the session and for the good explanations

Throughout the session, you clearly provided the learner with support when there was difficulty with the concepts, and it was clear based on her reasoning and your corrections that she was developing a deeper understanding of the topics that were being discussed.

You clearly understand the SAT math content very well. I thought it was smart to recommend using desmos for the first system of equations problem to save the learner time on the test. I thought your explanation of the ax+y=c question was excellent. Not only was the process you showed correct, the way you wrote everything out made it very clear how the equations were being manipulated and how it led to equal coefficients. I also thought it was smart to add an explanation of one/infinite/zero solutions for systems to help the learner understand why the process worked. No recommendations here; great job!

You did great! Yusra was just as vocal as you throughout the session, hence it felt more like a conversation than a lesson. I liked the back and forth approach, where every other sentence was punctuated with an open-ended question. When asked about solving for zeros, Yusra promptly attempted an answer: "Would it be positive 2/9?" This shows how comfortable she was engaging with the content you were teaching and answering your questions. Good job!

Yes because they seemed to get more confident and they understood what he was saying. The learners even confirmed that they understood the topic better after you taught it, so great job!

One of the most important aspects of a session is active learning. You made sure the learner was on the same page and checked her knowledge after every one of your explanations, you adapted to the learner's needs, you were continuously engaging with the leaner by being there at all times with your camera on, and you confirmed the learner's progress several times throughout the session. You had clear and understandable explanations, and I thought the environment was very active and not all gloomy. So overall, great job covering this aspect!

Thank you for the help! You walked through each question and explained the material in a clear and understandable way.

Learner · 2 mo. ago

Yes. The student continuously asks questions until they understand the concept. You make sure that you don't move on until she totally understands the concept which is great. By the end, she understands all of her mistakes, and, therefore, made progress in her learning journey.

You explained the concepts very well and made them simpler for me to understand! You also seemed to be very knowledgeable about physics and you guided me to the right answers. I also liked how you inserted all of the formulas in the chat. Thanks!
