Her patience as students work through tricky problems shows that she prioritizes learning over speed. By inviting students to engage in “grouping like terms” and using memory tricks and visual scanning techniques, she gently strengthens their confidence without making them feel overwhelmed. Students like Ziming and Hope were clearly motivated to keep going even when they second-guessed themselves.
