Renee and Emily had a great understanding of the basics of Mandarin, mainly the five tones. They explained it very clearly with relevant analogies, such as imaging the tones with a car on the road, and provided audio examples to teach the tones. Interactive exercises, like the pronunciation of the tones and games, further solidified their mastery. There were minor technical issues with screen sharing that somewhat disrupted the flow.
