Significance tests (hypothesis testing)
AP Statistics: Significance Tests
We will be going over practice problems that cover the following concepts.
-Understand and explain the concept of significance and interpret p-values
-Understand the logic of tests, including null and alternative hypotheses and one-sided versus two-sided tests
-Conduct a one-sample z-test for a proportion
-Conduct a z-test or t-test for a mean
-Identify and explain Type I and Type II errors and the concept of power

More Probabilities: MCQ & FRQ Practice, and Q&A.
This session is made as a sequel to my last session with Probabilities, but all students are welcome to join. We will be applying some of what we learned in probability to AP Statistics problems with the multiple-choice questions and free-response. Students are expected to have an understanding of the following topics:
- Key vocabulary
- Fundamental Probability Rules
- Independence
Throughout the session, we will walk through practice problems together, and also touch on some tips and tricks regarding answering AP Stats free-response (such as showing reasoning and using specific keywords)! Bring your questions if you have any :D

Rational functions
Topics Covered:
- Determine zeros of rational functions.
- Determine horizontal asymptotes of rational functions.
- Determine the location of vertical asymptotes and holes of rational functions.
- Work fluently between multiple representations of rational functions.
We will mostly be reviewing and walking through problem sets on this topic, with no slides prepared. You will need some knowledge about univariate data to participate.

AP Statistics: Probability. Speed-review the probability units in AP Statistics! Subtopics include:
- Key vocabulary
- Fundamental Probability Rules
- Independence
This is a rescheduled rerun of the session, as per some of my past students' requests! The session itself is 60 minutes, but in the end, we will also be going over some practice MC and FRQ questions related to this unit.

Comparing and Transforming Univariate Data
- Measure position using z-scores
- Compare distributions of univariate data
- Describe the effects of transforming a dataset
Contrary to some of my other sessions, we will mostly be reviewing and walking through problem sets on this topic, with no slides prepared. You will need some knowledge about univariate data to participate.
If you're interested in a more informational session, feel free to leave a message in the Discussion Forum below or stay tuned for some of my other AP Stats-related sessions! You can also check out some of the sessions by other tutors :D

Learn With Us: Digital Art
LWU is a series of "learning-groups", where we take on a topic we always wanted to learn, yet haven’t had enough time or motivation to do so. The main purpose of this series is to foster more discussion on the SHW platform.
This week, we will talk about digital art, but non-artists are definitely welcome to join! We would LOVE your thoughts and opinions, and you can walk out of this session with more knowledge on drawing and the digital art subculture. Some interesting discussion points may include:
1. Drawing tips we wish we knew starting out. 2. Humble flex culture in the digital art community. 3. Can learners start with anime-styled art/cartoons, or should they start with traditional art to learn proportions/fundementals? 4. Are people who are "bad at drawing" really bad at drawing, or is it because they haven't had enough time or interest to get better?
Because this is a learning group, attendees will be asked to ACTIVELY ENGAGE, rather than passively listening. Speak up! We will also be having a quick break at the halfway point to step away from learning and relax.

AP Statistics
AP Statistics: "You Fool, That's Wrong, You Just Lost Points."
Recommended to ALL STUDENTS taking the AP Stats exam! Join us as we watch a fun/dumb video that helped thousands of students (or more) to get 5s on AP Statistics. Guaranteed to INSTANTLY boost your score as a last-minute review technique.
Note that this is a very short and entertaining session, meant for students already somewhat familiar with AP Statistics to have fun/learn at the same time before AP exams.

AP Physics
AP Physics C Mechanics: All about Rotation.
This session, we will be reviewing rotational motion, rotational energy, calculating the moment of inertia, the parallel-axis theorem, and torque.
Session Breakdown: The first half of the session will cover a summary of these topic for students who learned Mech during their first semester and all who are feeling rusty. Then, we will dive into a couple of practice problems and cover common mistakes regarding the topic. There will be slides prepared, and students are free to ask questions throughout the session and engage.

AP Physics C Mechanics: Kinematics (and Rotation)
This session, we will be reviewing kinematics. Topics covered include: fundamental equations, one-dimensional kinematics, then diving into two-dimensional kinematics with projectile motion and other common questions on the AP exam. If time allows, we will also touch up on uniform circular motion and calculating angular/tangential acceleration.

Learn With Us: Reading Research Papers.
Join Joy for an hour and learn to instantly tackle tough papers we need to read, but don't know where to start. LWU is a series of "learning-groups", where you take on a topic you always wanted to learn, yet haven’t had enough time or motivation to do so.
This week, we will be looking into reading academic papers, a critical skill to have. There will be guiding slides, but it will be discussion-based because this session is focused on improving HOW we learn rather than feeding you the content itself.
Because this is a learning group, attendees will be asked to actively speak up throughout the session, rather than passively listening. We will also be having a quick break at the halfway point to step away from learning and relax.
