About

Hi everyone! I'm a senior from Georgia. I'm excited to be here to help others and to learn as much as I can from this community. My strong side is mathematics, and I'm happy to help anyone with Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, or Geometry. I also have a passion for Physics and was recognized as the best student in Physics during my junior year.

Experiences 💡: During summer I have been doing an internship in the bank of my country, in Qartu Bank which is one of the leading banks of Georgia. This internship has helped me master my mathematics since in finances and banking it is very essential. Also I was a tutor at my schools "Saturday School" and tought 5-6 graders English Literature and 7-8 graders Mathematics.

Goal 🎯 : When I first heard of Schoolhouse my immediate thought was to sign up here and get all the certifications in order to share my knowledge with everyone in need of help. I think this experience will be very beneficial for me and for everyone I help out. If you struggle with anything regarding the topics I will have sessions on please feel free to join and you can count on me!

Thank you for proving the rules for us to understand better!

You did an excellent job conveying linear and quadratic functions to Irem through your lesson. One thing that worked really well is through the graphs drawn of both functions, demonstrating if they were increasing, decreasing, or what the vertex meant when it came to the max/min value. This way it helps with understanding visualization and potential SAT questions relating to those (visualizations are a great way to study!). Additionally, the quadratic function analogy with defining the solutions worked well with defining what the discriminant was. This way it helps with understanding what the solutions are like (if there's 1, 2, or imaginary solutions) and remembering how to check whether or not the quadratic function has solutions. While this is not required in solving quadratics, one suggestion I have next time is to check if your a, b, and c in a quadratic function (ax^2 + bx + c = 0) has a common factor or not. This is because if the common factor is divided out, the numbers would be much easier to work with, but again, it's completely optional.

Thank you so much for the session, Anastasia! It was a really amazing and helpful session. I loved how interactive it was and how you explained the concepts. Thank you for being patient when I got the answers wrong or took time to solve them. You are an excellent tutor who goes beyond traditional teaching methods to engage and inspire your students. You take the time to understand each individual's learning style, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs. By incorporating interactive activities and encouraging critical thinking, you create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas. Your patience and enthusiasm not only help them grasp difficult concepts but also instill a love for learning that lasts beyond the classroom.
