Realism Drawing Classes: Learning to Draw the World but Better
I plan to cover the basic principles, as well as tips I have learned along the way, in mastering realism (subjects being people and animals) and developing those drawings to look better than real life. We will have 6 main sections of the class: introduction/drawing composition, basics for realism in graphite, basics for realism in color, enhancing realism in graphite, enhancing realism in color, and final project assignment/worktime/presentation.
Learners should expect to actively be drawing each class, using a sketchbook/white printer paper, pencil (2B is recommended but HB absolutely works), and colored pencils (I will be using Prismacolor but even Crayola is fine as long as it is 24+ count). Learners should also have access to a good eraser (kneaded is best but pencil cap eraser + big eraser duo totally works), sharpener, ruler, photography device can take and display pictures, and flat, well-lit surface to work on.
