Hi Maya! It's Milan - great session on Right triangles & trigonometry. You explained the concepts of SOHCAHTOA ands special right triangles with ease and clarity, and you even used a Jamboard as the interactive component of your session. You invited questions throughout the entire session so that your learner felt comfortable to remove any doubts. Overall, great session and keep it up :)

I think it was good how you checked everything was working so the learners can hear you well and have a good learning experience and focus on learning not understanding you. I like that you asked questions to check for understanding and mastery of what you are teaching it really helps for the learners to understand what you are tutoring. One thing that may help the learner exercise their thinking skills more is to ask them how they would approach the questions. You did a great job explaining the importance of bringing out pieces in the opening, pins, making sure your pieces are defendable before trying an attack during the middlegame, and more! I think that the best way to get better at chess is to play against someone more experienced than you, so I loved that you gave your learner a chance to do that. It allows them to see the strategies to talk about in real time and they can immediately try them. You also did a great job engaging the learner in asking him why certain moves were made and making sure he understood what you were saying.
