The session ran pretty smoothly and there weren’t any major technical issues or interruptions. The tutor seemed prepared and was able to guide the learner through the problems step by step. I liked that they asked the learner questions instead of just giving the answers, which kept the learner involved and helped them think through the steps. By the end, the learner was able to solve a problem mostly on their own, which showed the tutoring was effective. One thing that could be improved is explaining a little more about why the factoring methods work, not just the steps to follow, since most of the focus was on the procedure. Overall though the tutor did a good job keeping the learner engaged and helping them understand how to work through the problem.
