It was really nice meeting you! Like most of my club advisors don’t help that much.

Nishita is the best for DECA! She teaches you everything you need to know! She lets you in on the DECA secrets that your schools wouldn't even teach you! I got a lot of insight and information from this. She helped me practice doing a roleplay and showed me tips and tricks on how to be successful in it. She is the best! She is so helpful. She is an excellent tutor for DECA. Would definitely recommend, 10/10!

Relating DECA to students’ personal goals (law, pre-med, business). Sharing your own vulnerabilities and motivations (e.g., joining DECA to prove herself to an ex, struggles with AP overload). Validating students (“That’s so cool”, etc). Offering personal support (help with essays, LinkedIn networking, involvement in her startup).

You create a really comfortable environment. The learners seemed relaxed, open about their struggles, and willing to talk through their answers. You use humor and encouragement in a way that makes the space feel supportive. I would like to see you balance that friendliness with clarity, especially when guiding multiple learners at once. A little more structure will help you keep that positive vibe while staying focused on their learning goals. You’re doing awesome with your tone — it’s friendly, confident, and makes the learners feel like they can ask anything. If you keep tightening the structure and pacing, especially with more than one learner in the room, your sessions will run even smoother. Let me know if you want this shortened or turned into a version for a different lesson!

Nishita walked me through roleplays step-by-step and helped me understand exactly what judges are looking for. She helped me turn my nervous energy into confidence and professionalism in front of a judge. I love how she tailors each session to my event and my level instead of just giving generic advice. You can tell she has real competition experience because her advice is so practical and specific. 10/10 would recommend Nishita to any DECA student who wants to level up and actually be competitive.

You demonstrated strong empathy and understanding throughout the session. The initial discussion about DECA helped the learner feel comfortable and opened up space for them to share their challenges, especially about their exam experience. This showed that the tutor was attentive to the learner’s struggles and willing to connect on a personal level. Additionally, the tutor adapted well to the learner’s needs—for example, by walking them through the documents clearly and guiding them step-by-step, even cautioning them about which links not to click. This kind of support showed an awareness of the learner’s comfort level and helped ensure they did not feel overwhelmed. Overall, the tutor’s empathetic approach and ability to adjust based on the learner’s situation worked very well.

You clearly came into the session with structure and a wide range of resources. You guided new students through DECA basics, shared detailed event breakdowns, and even linked tools (flashcards, study guides, KnowIt, Quizlet). I also liked how you used her personal experiences (competitions, leadership campaigns, startup work) to ground the session in real-world examples.
