About

Hi! I’m Amanda, a math enthusiast and finalist in my country’s National Math Olympiad. When I’m not working on that, I’m learning as much as I can and spending time with my black cat, who’s probably the smartest one in the house ;)

I like how you established a comfortable environment for all the learners, allowing them to work independently on problems and also addressing learners by name. I think that your conversational tone provided them with an environment in which they could ask questions or give input if they'd like. Your well-prepared slides and clear demonstration of understanding through the problems you created made a session that was very effective and helpful. Great job Amanda!

Hi Amanda, You clearly demonstrated your understanding of the material through the slides you presented with relevant equations as well as the practice problems you presented. Through showing a reproducible problem strategy in your examples, I think you really helped the learner to understand the steps for solving different kinds of SAT math problems. I liked how you showed the learners multiple ways to solve an equation, such as when you used Desmos to solve the first nonlinear function question. It shows them that they are not limited to only one method, but instead are able to use any method they find suitable.
