Excelling in AP Calculus AB/BC: A Topic-by-Topic Guide for Beginners

    15th session

We will deep dive into every topic in the AB/BC curriculum but at a beginner-level, meaning you don't need a strong base of Algebra or Precalculus to excel in the series! Even for learners already acquainted with AP Calc, feel free to join for some review :) The only thing required is regular attendance, so that you can take advantage of the in-depth lessons and practice questions of various difficulties. If there are any questions about the topics, please feel free to contact us and we will be more than willing to give one-on-one guidance!

Thank you for hosting this awesome session on work, energy, and power! I learned a lot about conservative forces. Any system which loses energy is non-conservative force (e.g., air resistance). Potential energy is the energy of the object which has potential to move. Kinetic energy is the energy of the object in motion. I really enjoyed deriving how the maximum velocity = √2gL(1-cosθ) for a pendulum. At max height, all energy is potential: PE = mgh. At lowest point, all energy is kinetic: KE = 1/2(m)(v^2). Thank you for always teaching me how to approach every problem with diagram and interpreting variables before substituting into a kinematics equation! You're a gem in the Physics subworld on SchoolHouse! 💎

Thank you for this session! It was so fun solving the force and acceleration problems together using diagrams and deriving equations! I never taught AP-styled Physics questions can be so conceptual and enjoyable at the same time! :D

Thank you so much for hosting today's session on work, energy, and power! I learned so much about work, force, kinetic energy, and potential energy! I enjoyed learning calculus application in physics too. I really like how you explain the derivation of different formulas and emphasize drawing free-body diagrams. You're truly helping me to prepare for AP Physics 1 - a course that I barely knew anything about in previous years. 😇

Thank you for this awesome session! I learned a lot about pulleys & Atwood machine, elevators, normal force, apparent weight, and so much more! I didn’t realize how interesting the physics of elevators is! Next time I hop onto the elevator (tomorrow), I’ll definitely be thinking more critically! 🤓
