You came across as very friendly, creating and maintaining a comfortable atmosphere. You were patient, giving the learner time to come up with answers rather than interrupting. You praised and encouraged your learner when they did well (e.g. "that's a good explanation", "you got it, go ahead!"), something you displayed all throughout the session. I could really see your kind personality shining through the context of a calculus lesson when you asked about the learner's surroundings and her family. All of your actions here have definitely worked wonders to strengthen your learner's confidence and make them more conducive to grasping difficult concepts.
