You created a welcoming space with humor and patience, making mistakes feel low-pressure. When Leila partially answered a question, you encouraged her: “Exactly. So what is negative?” prompting her to find the answer without discouragement. You checked in on confidence levels openly: “So how confident you guys feel about the unit circle and the trig value stuff, scale of one to 10?” This made learners reflect on progress and helped you adjust pacing. Adding more explicit praise for correct reasoning could further build confidence.

Thank you for this session it helped me review the unit circle and understand it.

You showed strong mastery of trigonometry and unit circle concepts. Your explanation of sine and cosine in relation to the unit circle was clear: “We can rewrite this coordinate X comma Y as cosine of theta comma sine of theta.” You also demonstrated understanding of radians with a detailed breakdown: “What a radian is, is for any angle, the radian is the length of the arc formed by that angle over the radius.” You reinforced concepts by connecting them to definitions and geometry, such as when you explained why tangent of pi over 2 is undefined: “You can think of tangent as Y over X, right, and that is simply equal to our slope. The slope is vertical, there’s no way to measure that slope.” This demonstrated a deep understanding of the material. The start of the session involved some setup and waiting for students to join, which slowed pacing, but once content began it was structured and thorough.
