Not only was she patient but she was very interactive as well! Going to miss these sessions with her but I am very grateful to have received her help. Thank you so much for making the SAT Tips as it is really helpful! Thank you so much once again for everything you have done throughout these series as from the start you have always been interactive, kind, and patient which is very heartwarming! I have a major improvement from when I first started to when I ended this series, so I am really grateful to have her as a tutor!

Hi Athena! I just wanted to say that I am SO grateful for all the SAT sessions you hosted! Even though I won't be taking the SAT until next year, I am so glad that you were my first tutor! Your sessions really allowed me to identify which areas I am having the most difficulty with and how I should go about it. I really loved how welcoming you were at all the sessions; it really made a world of a difference and helped me get out of my shell, even if it was just a little. Thank you, again, and I hope to attend any other sessions you hold here on Schoolhouse! :)

I enjoyed the session - the concepts were explained nicely and I liked how we were able to work on problems and then discuss them. I would definitely join future lessons on various math topics that are important for competitions since I have no prior experience. Overall, this was my first lesson on Schoolhouse and it was excellent.

Hi Athena! I just audited your session on inequalities and equations, and I think you did an amazing job overall in the session! I liked the fact that you didn’t simply solve the problem that the learner gave, but solved a problem which was similar to that one and asked the learner to try and do the actual problem by themselves. I also really liked how you asked the learner which method they would prefer in solving a certain equation when there were two or more methods. Your concepts are very strong, which was evident when you explained everything. I also liked how you encouraged the learner when they got the answer wrong. All in all, an amazing session! Hello, Athena! I just audited one of your algebra sessions: it was fantastic! I thought that you did a really good job with the warm-up and smoothly transitioning into your session's content, although one thing to consider might be doing a more cohesive conclusion by having learners summarize or something similar. Overall, though, you did extremely well with interacting with learners, and you explained concepts very clearly and intuitively! I would consider this a model session! Amazing job making everyone feel comfortable and setting clear expectations. Even though this session was just about setting up Khan Academy accounts, you clearly thought through how each learner would stay engaged throughout the session. Nicely done!

I was joining more as an observer than learner to get a sense of what some schoolhouse sessions are like but I enjoyed Athena's session! The problems she reviewed helped remind me of combinatorics things that I learned probably about 10 years ago and had forgotten.
