Here’s some helpful information to help you prepare for your session: 📌 Session introduction: At the start of the session, the event host will provide some introductory remarks about how the session will work and tips for discussion. 🧩 Discussion partner matching: All participants will be matched with a conversation partner to discuss with. If there are uneven numbers, you may have two conversation partners. 🤝 Breakout discussions: After the session introduction, everyone will switch to their breakout discussion. Your discussion will be unmoderated, so you can start when your partner arrives in the new Zoom link. 🗺️ Discussion Guide: You will have a topic-specific discussion guide for the session to help guide conversation. ⏰ Session length: The breakout discussions are scheduled for 45 minutes but you can discuss as long as you want! ✅ Stay on topic: Please make sure to stay on topic. If you and your partner run out of things to discuss, it’s okay to end the discussion early. You will not be returning to the main group when your conversation is over. 🤔 Make the discussion your own: You probably won’t have time to answer all the guide questions so pick and choose! Feel free to also bring in your own questions and ideas outside of the guide. 📝 Survey: A mandatory survey will appear at the end of your session to fill out. Hi everyone! I've tutored in the Reading and Writing bootcamp multiple times, so I am confident I can help you prepare to be a tutor. Join this Onboarding Session required for Tutors participating in their first SAT Bootcamp! You’ll go over useful tutoring skills and have the chance to meet other Bootcamp tutors like you.

Struggling to focus? Having trouble completing your English assignments? Come to our R&W Subworld Study Space where we semi-independently work on our assignments together and seek help from peers if needed. This will not be a tutoring session. We will use the Pomodoro study method (25 minutes of study + 5 minutes of break). If you encounter a problem, you can post it in the chat to see if anyone can help. The purpose is to create an environment where people are encouraged to complete their assignments. As for those who didn't struggle with your assignment, feel free to come and see it as a study space :)

In this series, we will cover how to find the area and volume of graphs using calculus. Usually, this unit is covered in the second semester of high schools in America, so it will be a nice way to preview during the break before going back to school. It is also the last unit before preparing for the AP exam in May. Each session will be approximately 1 hour long. We will be going over practice problems on Khan Academy. Prior knowledge on integration will be required.

Ever curious about how children learn languages? Well, this session is perfect for you! During these next few days, we'll be covering a few theories that aim to describe how children acquire languages! Each session will be 30-45 minutes, depending on the length and complexity of the theory.

In just four days, I'll go over every section of the SAT Reading and Writing. Sessions will be an hour long, where we'll go over tips and tricks for each problem type. Then, we'll go over a couple of practice problems to get used to the questions for the SAT.

As the world becomes more and more digital, we become more and more vulnerable online. Each session, we will be going over a different portion of Cybersecurity. We will be focusing on the theory, such as what it is, different attack methods, and how to protect your data. No coding will be learned in this series. This will be session with a lot of lecturing, since the purpose for this is to teach the concepts of Cybersecurity.

On the R&W of SAT, I've received a 770. On multiple practice exams, I've received 800s. So, during these sessions, I will teach you how to tackle EVERY problem. I'll give you multiple practice exams, so we can check our progress. It will also give opportunities to apply the skills that we learned in class. Our sessions will mostly be lecture-based with a bit of time to practice at the end. I'll go over the grammar lessons necessary for the SAT and give you strategies to approach every problem. I will also break down every problem for you, so that you can solve anything on the dSAT. We will be covering the 4 domains that CollegeBoard tests you on for the R&W portion of the SAT.

Our classes will mostly be based on lecture, focusing on the 1700s to the early 1900s. Due to our short time, I will go over the biggest events that happened and the ones that you should remember. I would recommend taking notes during our sessions.

I will go over different strategies for each problem. We will do a lot of practicing, as well as lecturing on topics. I make a lot of practice tests to help learners be exposed to a lot of practice before taking the SAT. Our classes will be based on lessons on specific topics, examples, practice exams, and times for Q&A. I will go over a lot of the more difficult problems of the SAT. In order to try to cover everything, our classes will move in a fast pace, going over lessons and practice problems. Our classes will be: Lesson --> Practice Problems We will be covering all the domains of the SAT, alternating from English and Math. Paper and pen/pencil is recommended for our math days to solve problems on the side. For our english days, taking notes is recommended.

We will practice writing some of the FRQs with writing prompts from the AP Lang exam. We will be focusing on the style analysis aspect of the exam. We will go over some of the MCQs on the AP Lang exam and some strategies in approaching them. They will be helpful if you are taking the exam or just in general for reading comprehension. In order to give more personalized feedback, the number of max learners has been limited to 5.

Networking is how connected devices can communicate with each other through the transfer of data. This will be session with a lot of lecturing, since the purpose for this is to teach the concepts of networking.

With Korea gaining popularity with films and music, people are growing more and more interested in the language! We'll start with learning how to greet and branch out into other basic conversations. We will get a glimpse into some cultural aspects of Korea, learn to read the Korean language, and more! I will encourage a lot of practice in our sessions, so expect to talk every so often!

We will go through every unit of the AP Calculus AB Exam. There will be both lectures and practice tests to prepare for both the school-year and the AP exam. It will be a fast-paced class, in order to try to cover everything.
