Hi! I'm so glad you're joining this session! This is intended for learners who have little experience with Biology. Practice problems will mainly come from Khan Academy, along with practice problems from other sources. We will cover: - The Cell Cycle and DNA replication - Mitosis and Meiosis (a follow-up to the above) - mRNA and protein synthesis - Mendelian genetics (monohybrid cross, dihybrid cross), blood typing, and sex-linked traits There are no pre-requisites, but feel free to look up some of this stuff ahead of time if you want it to sink in more. Make sure to attend the orientation, so we can all get to know each other and share our goals and expectations! Please make sure to take notes (computer/paper) - we'll be doing practice problems! Also, make sure to BRING PAPER AND PENCIL, as it's essential to drawing punnet squares for genetics. At the end of every session, we will take a poll/google form to test your knowledge, and I will ask you if you want a review session.
