About

Hi, I'm an upcoming high school freshman from New Jersey (as of Summer 2024). I've been doing competition math for nearly two years now and I've had experience tutoring in the past -- I look forward to helping people learn on Schoolhouseworld ! My other interests are primarily finance and economics, and I love learning about cultures and languages.

Given the extensive practice problems provided, I am confident that the learners have improved their mathematical skills. While significant progress in math requires time and continued practice, it is clear that they are making steady advancements.

It's great that you asked the learner what they wanted to go over and what they specifically had questions with. When they answered vaguely, you quickly gave them options and asked if they were okay with them. Good job adapting to the learner's needs as well, specifically with the fact that they communicated solely by chat. You were able to get around that and still effectively explain the concepts that they wanted to cover. Further, you also did a wonderful job engaging the learner given their communication restraints. You asked them to pitch into solving certain problems and do well tailoring your responses around their answers. Finally, you confirm their progress using phrases such as "do you understand?" You both did a great job on all four of these criteria!
