About

Hi, my name is Colston K, and I'm really excited to help you prepare for the SAT! I've been a math tutor on Schoolhouse.world since January 2025, and I'm also a volunteer tutor for my high school. Nice to meet you!"

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Math. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can!

Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

Hello, my name is Colston! I'm a student from Northern California, and I love helping others learn. Tutoring is the best way to learn, after all. If you really understand a topic, you can break it down into simple terms and concepts. Outside of academics, I play euphonium in both marching and concert band, which means I have an intermediate level of music theory knowledge. I also enjoy skiing and exploring intro-level coding, like Java and JS. Additionally, I'm a volunteer math tutor for my own school, and I'm starting up a Destination Imagination club. I'm always looking to challenge myself.

What you'll do

Review core concepts and test-taking strategies, with a peer tutor who excelled on the SAT.

Practice and review official full-length SAT® practice tests, including one Bluebook test.

Get personalized support with the most challenging questions and concepts.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.
