Ever wondered why certain shorts, reels, or TikToks make you instantly want to comment… or why some videos just hit you with a weirdly strong reaction? If so, you’d actually be perfect for my AP Research study.

What you’ll do
You’ll watch a quick set of 15–20 short videos (from YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Snapchat Spotlight).

Then you’ll fill out a short form rating:

how likely you’d be to interact (1–10)

how you’d interact (like, comment, share, ignore, etc.)

how the video made you feel

Time commitment
About 15–20 minutes.
That’s literally it. If anything its basically a quick doomscrolling session that you can write off as homework!

Who can join
Any student on Schoolhouse from anywhere in the world.
Multiple sessions will be available, so you can pick whatever time works for you.

You get to be part of a real research project

It’s basically a structured doomscrolling session — but for science

If any of you are planning on taking AP Capstone, you'll also get real life experience to see how a research project can be made.

I’m a Florida highschool senior. I love to read and am a high-level swimmer and pianist. I also enjoy helping people out with their questions and have a lot of knowledge in many subjects. Both my SAT and ACT scores were above the 95th percentile and I have taken many AP classes throughout my highschool career and scored highly.
