About

Math Counts? AoPs? AMC 8? AMC 10? Math Kangaroo? Math competitions ??? Are you in need of getting some practice problems 𐄷, some review 💡, or just some time to make your brain critically think 🧠?!!? This series is for you. Join this series full of experienced tutors 🏋️‍♀️ who have competed in international math competitions and are here to help you 🫵 .

This group will work to prepare for any math competition that is coming up. From there, we would have multiple activities including but not limited to, mock tests for competitions, try-outs for certain events, weekly or bi-weekly in-house math competitions, and we will even touch on advanced topics that only apply to math-competitions. This course will be a combination of rigorous mastery and practice.

The #academic-competitions pilot is focused on creating a dedicated subworld for academic competitions. With contributions from over 5,000 learners and 300 tutors, this initiative includes events such as MATHCOUNTS, AMC, Olympiads, Debate, Quizbowl & many more. Learners eager to participate can sign up by completing this form 📋✍️, while tutors are welcome to share their expertise by joining the #academic-competitions Slack channel 🎓💡. By upvoting our feedback and ideas page 👍🚀, you can help us unlock a new subworld 🌍🔓!

Hey (Selam), my name is Rodas. I'm from Ethiopia, Addis Ababa moving to New York to study engineering this fall. I recently graduated as valedictorian from high school, and I want to share my knowledge to help you excel in your classes. In my free time, I enjoy hitting the gym, playing soccer, and developing (web and food). I work as a software developer intern in a big tech company. I am highly passionate about computer science (especially quantum computing) and engineering, which is perhaps why I host so many math sessions🤓. I have ample tutoring experiences most of which are from my school. Through School House, I want to continue helping in courses such as SAT math, Pre-calc, Quantum Computing, and calc. ✨ See you in my sessions! 😊😊

I have a lot of hobbies including track and field, reading, environmental activism, debate, coding, STEM competitions, and my mysterious favorite (robotics). I love classic books (they're practically all I read). My favorite is An Old Fashioned Girl. I'm involved in a lot of organizations. One of the ones I'm most active in is a leadership 4-h program for teens. We work on a lot of capstone projects to help our community. I've gotten a world record related to them. We partnered with one of our sponsor companies to have the world's longest envirothon. That leads us into my next hobby, debate. I've been debating for 2 years as of 2024 summer, and I love it. And then there's robotics. I spend a lot of time on that. I'm very involved in my team. I love volunteering.
