First off, I absolutely loved your idea of having them work either together or in groups on different problems at the beginning of the session! It seems that you have had this group before so this definitely served as a great way to recap what you guys may have already gone over in prior sessions and it is such a good way to practice and find any gaps which they still may have! I think you did an amazing job with adapting to learners' unique needs. For example, when Daylon seemed to need a boost on the problem involving 3^10 = 3^7 • x^3, you didn't just let them pass it on to the next learner. Instead, you adapted to their needs, slowed down, and guided them through without giving them the answers but rather letting them see it for themselves! And they eventually got it!

You did great by making the learner feel comfortable with making mistakes and you were able to understand if the learner was getting confused. You also used the words "exactly" and the like , which encourages the learner to move on with the problem. You patiently waited for her reply and walked through the problem.

Thank you so much for such an awesome session! You are such an awesome person and it was extremly helpful to have the algebra 1 crash course over the summer. I am going into high school in about a week, and I was stressing out that I wasn't able to get anything more than the algebra foundations certification, so my parents suggested your session. I am so glad to have been in your class. I feel ready to take on the next school year (at least in math.) My uncle used to teach me "advanced" math. I put quotation marks because, while it was at the time, it isn't anymore. He kinda quit about ago year and a half ago, and while I was able to get through integrated math 1 with no issues... (we don't have ap classes, so if we are in advanced math, we just go to the grade above's math class) I was not confident that I could get through IM2 with the same speed. (To clarify, IM is Alg1 and 2, but over 3 years.) Thank you so much for helping me gain back my (how do the cool kids say it? Flow? Swag?) You really should be a teacher; you have the patience for it and you always explain, not only what you are doing, but why you are doing it. Thank you.
