Jane is a BRILLIANT storyteller and a great friend/tutor! She really takes the time out to chat with her learners and make meaningful bonds with them. She is very kind and energetic, always greeting her learners with zeal and enthusiasm. Her sessions are so interactive. In fact, almost all of her learners are friends with each other! I can vouch for her being one of the best tutors here at Schoolhouse! (Jane, please do give a shout-out to my homie Samprita (one of the best friends I have met through your series 🧡) if you see her! :))) —You know who I am :D

Hey, Jane! I was auditing your session, and apparently, you made me laugh a lot of times when I was watching the recording~! You sounded ecstatic when you were reading the Chinese story and even when you are just talking! Plus, I really loved the activity at the end when the students got to "describe" the red fruit. (Not gonna lie, but I laughed when someone said "Yummy, yummy, yummy" too.) Your activities were so interactive and entertaining! I actually want to join your class now lol

Hi Jane! AMAZING SESSION! Your ultra-memorable and accessible explainer style reminds me of Sal Khan's! I was expecting to encounter stuff that's taught in college-level global classics courses, yet I was overjoyed with the rigor you brought to a historical fiction picture book that seems written for a young audience! Your ability to narrate stories in engaging and lively ways is unparalleled, and throughout the session I was only thinking Khan Academy should hire you as their English/storytelling tutor! Honestly Khan Academy Kids could benefit from your engaging articulation of stories too, since their stories too resemble the document you were using. I LOVE how you took every question, without dismissing it as trivial—say, a question on a character's weapon or appearance when it's not central to the unfolding of the plot. I will admit that I'm familiar with both the names and their possible appearances of the characters from video game, but I NEVER expected that this Lu Bu story would feature exactly the trio of Zhang Fei, Guan Yu, and Liu Bei. Keep up the amazing tutoring! It's mind-blowing how you make this session cater to as wide a learner base as possible, from folks who know both Chinese and English, to folks who don't yet speak Chinese like me, who often have to rely on translations. I can't wait until the next session to know what happened next—I'll go look up the story myself now. Thanks for introducing this tale. Thank you for tutoring at Schoolhouse.world! :) - Tarun

We learnt the morse code through a website and it was super fun. Thanks to Jane and the other people who attended the session. We study not only the morse code but also get to know many more things. The sessions are really interactive and can't wait to join the next one!

Jane!!!!!! Sad that this series has to end but this was one of the best that I have attended here at schoolhouse!!! The atmosphere was very lighthearted and fun, and this was the first series that I have attended where learners would actually interact and be friends. It’s always therapeutic to attend your sessions! You would always greet us by name before the session starts and before the session ends. You always make everyone feel included and it’s really nice that you acknowledge everyone’s answers! Even though people were voting me out as the impostor, I still had a fun time! -Christine
