Performing transformations

We'll be having an introduction to rigid transformations including the following: Translations, Rotations, Reflections, Dilations, and Stretches/Squeezes. We will define the transformation, discuss the properties of each one, and look at the change in the properties of the figure being transformed. If we have time, we'll look at symmetry, otherwise, we'll schedule a follow-up session.

College Advice

Having just applied for college in the past application cycle, I know how stressful this time of the year can be. This session will focus on how to make your college (and scholarship) list and decide what your priorities are in applying to certain schools. If there is interest, I will host a series centered around the entire application process including essay writing, interview prep, and more. This session is best suited for rising juniors and seniors but all are welcome :) Please come prepared with questions!

AP Calculus

We’ll be discussing how to approach the AP Calculus BC exam without haven taken the BC class. In my previous session I noticed that students were curious about whether they need to take Calc AB as a prerequisite. During the session, we will be walking through a practice BC exam (MC + FRQ) to look at the learning targets we’ll need to answer each question. Bring questions and something to take notes with!
