About

We'll cover the fundamental topics of linear algebra in this series. The link for our textbook is here (under a Creative Commons license): https://lyryx.com/linear-algebra-applications/. This supplementary text may also be useful (also available for free): https://textbooks.math.gatech.edu/ila/. Here's an overview of the content of the course (copied from the Table of Contents of our primary textbook). No previous calculus knowledge necessary. - Systems of linear equations - Matrix algebra - Determinants, eigenvalues, and diagonalization - Vector geometry - Vector spaces (both R^n and abstract vector spaces) - Linear transformations - Change of basis

Hi! I'm Kindness (aka Enci). As of 2024-25, I'm a junior year university student majoring in pure math! I graduated high school as part of the Class of 2023, and thanks to APs I skipped the freshman year of university. On Schoolhouse, I especially like to tutor in Enrichment as a study space host and advanced math tutor. I used to be quite active in tutoring the SAT, and I hope to return to doing that soon! In my free time (which I don't have much, lol), you can find me writing poems, playing the piano or violin, and scrapbooking.

Orientation

Orientation

Thu 12:30 AM - 1:30 AM UTCAug 24, 12:30 AM - 1:30 AM UTC

We'll introduce ourselves and have a look of the course in general. We'll also get started with gaussian elimination and parametrizing our solutions when applicable.

SESSION 2

Other Topics

Other Topics

Mon 12:00 AM - 1:00 AM UTCAug 28, 12:00 AM - 1:00 AM UTC

We'll look at homogeneous systems and trivial/nontrivial solutions to them. We will also work on some practice problems or possibly start the information of the next session early. (I originally planned to go over nonhomogeneous systems, but we'll go over them in a later session.)
