About
We will go over polynomials and complex numbers each week. We are going to do so in a small group, with the tempo adjusted appropriately. I aim to give you a clean and concise explanation which will make the topics click intuitively.
We will go over the topics in a structured way:
- Polynomial arithmetic; addition/subtraction and multiplication.
- The i, the complex plane
- Complex arithmetic and quadratic equations with complex solutions
- Polynomial factorization
- Polynomial division and the remainder theorem
- Graphs of polynomials

I am a last year secondary school student from the Czech Republic going to study physics at a university this year, with the goal of becoming a theoretical physicist. I've always enjoyed passing on knowledge, especially when it comes to such a crucial subject like mathematics, which is why I'm here, to help people out with understanding mathematics.
✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY
If you have fully mastered some of the subtopics, feel free to skip the session. However I would prefer that you join most of them, say missing at most 2, so that we are all on the same page.

Polynomial arithmetic
Polynomial arithmetic
Tue 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM UTCMar 31, 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM UTC
I plan to begin our series by going over polynomial addition, subtraction, and multiplication, both with monomials and polynomials, if we go quickly, we will look into special products of polynomials as well.

Complex numbers
Complex numbers
Tue 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM UTCApr 7, 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM UTC
We will look into what "i" is and how to work with it, how to represent complex numbers in the complex plane and show that arithmetic with them is almost identical to polynomial arithmetic.
