About

This course is designed to build strong and confident foundations in Pre-Algebra and Algebra through structured lessons, guided practice, and continuous feedback. It is ideal for students who want to strengthen their mathematical reasoning, improve problem-solving skills, and prepare for more advanced algebra.
The program covers all core topics of pre-algebra and introductory algebra, including factors and multiples, ratios and percentages, exponents, equations and inequalities, functions, and systems of equations. Each topic is explained step by step, with clear theory, examples, and structured exercises to ensure full understanding.
Classes are held three times per week:

Tuesday: 2-hour lesson

Thursday: 2-hour lesson

Saturday: 1-hour session dedicated to homework correction, review, and Q&A

The Tuesday and Thursday sessions focus on new concepts, guided problem solving, and interactive practice. Students actively work through exercises and receive explanations that emphasize logical thinking and mathematical clarity.
The Saturday session is dedicated to reinforcing learning: homework is reviewed in detail, common mistakes are addressed, and students can ask questions about any topic covered during the week. This ensures that every concept is fully understood before moving forward.
By combining structured lessons with continuous support and feedback, this program provides a complete and effective pathway to mastering algebra foundations and developing strong mathematical confidence.

Hi! I’m someone who loves exploring science and technology and turning ideas into hands-on projects. I’ve had fun building things like a coilgun, a 2D sonar, theremin gloves, and even a maglev levitation setup. I also enjoy challenges like hackathons and science competitions, where I get to learn, create, and collaborate with others. Outside of science, basketball has been a big part of my life for years, teaching me teamwork, discipline, and persistence. I’m joining Schoolhouse because I believe learning is more meaningful when it’s shared. I’m excited to meet other curious people, exchange ideas, and grow together as a community.

Factors and multiples

Factors and multiples

Thu 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM UTCMar 5, 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM UTC

The first lesson will focus on building a strong foundation in number sense through guided practice and interactive problem-solving. Rather than simply introducing definitions, the session will be centered on exploration, reasoning, and active participation.

Students will work together to identify numerical patterns, analyze relationships between numbers, and develop strategies to break numbers down and rebuild them in different ways. Through structured exercises and collaborative challenges, they will begin to recognize how numbers connect and how these connections are used in algebra.

The lesson will include:

Guided practice activities to develop logical thinking

Interactive exercises where students actively work through problems

Short challenges to encourage discussion and reasoning

Step-by-step problem solving with continuous feedback

Homework assignment to reinforce skills learned during the session

The goal of this first meeting is to establish a comfortable and engaging learning environment while strengthening students’ confidence with numbers and preparing them for more advanced algebraic thinking in the following lessons.
