About

Hi! I am a 12th-grade student in both a general and technical high school, specializing in cybersecurity.

On Schoolhouse, I've provided 1-on-1 and group instruction in Calculus, Computer Science, Linux, and SAT prep. I'm in the top 10% of tutors for hours spent tutoring and sessions hosted.

I've also been a longtime math instructor at Mathnasium; I worked at 8 different locations from 15 years old to now, providing instruction for students from 4 years old to 18 years old.

Besides tutoring, I am developing a Python curriculum for a nonprofit supporting marginalized genders in computer science, actively competing in SkillsUSA cybersecurity competitions, and serving as a Linux specialist on my CyberPatriot team, working with multiple Linux distributions.

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Math. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can!

Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

I’m a HS senior from the Washington DC area, currently enrolled in both a general high school and a technical high school—think of a technical school like a trade school. I attend with a focus on IT and cybersecurity, earning certifications (CompTIA A+, Net+, Security+) and college credit! A big part of my identity comes from growing up in an activist culture. When I was in 2nd grade, around age 7, I began forming opinions about "taboo" subjects. By the time I reached middle school, I was already attending walkouts and protests. As a high schooler, I volunteer my skills and time for causes I support. Throughout each stage, I grew less afraid to speak my mind, because if someone doesn't agree with the values I hold highly, then we weren't meant to be friends anyway.

What you'll do

Review core concepts and test-taking strategies, with a peer tutor who excelled on the SAT.

Practice and review official full-length SAT® practice tests, including one Bluebook test.

Get personalized support with the most challenging questions and concepts.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.
