About

This fast-paced course strengthens the core skills students need for the second half of pre-algebra and builds a clear bridge to Algebra I. We’ll focus on key topics like ratios and percentages, expressions and equations, and an introduction to functions and linear models—always emphasizing understanding, not memorization. Students will learn how to translate word problems into equations, work confidently with variables, and interpret graphs with meaning. By the end of the bootcamp, students will be organized, confident, and genuinely algebra-ready.

General Pre-Algebra Q&A

Mon 1:00 AM - 2:00 AM UTCDec 29, 1:00 AM - 2:00 AM UTC

Class 1 — Semester 1 Recap: Building the Foundation

This session reviews the essential skills from first-semester pre-algebra that students must be fluent in to succeed moving forward. We’ll refresh factors and multiples, ratios and rates, percentages, exponents, and order of operations, while identifying and fixing common gaps. The goal is to level-set the class and ensure everyone is prepared for algebra-focused work in the second semester.
