About

Modern World Issues: A Tutor Series
Step into the heart of today’s most urgent global conversations. Modern World Issues is a thought-provoking tutor series designed to explore the challenges shaping our world—from climate change and technological disruption to social justice, geopolitics, and public health.

Each session unpacks:

- The origins and impact of key global issues

- Scientific, sociological, and policy-based approaches to solving them

- Real-world case studies and emerging innovations

- How individuals can engage as informed citizens, activists, and future leaders

Certification Opportunity Participants who complete the series will receive a Modern World Issues Certificate of Completion/Participation. While this certification isn’t accredited for college credit, it can be a valuable credential for:

- Demonstrating initiative and global awareness in job or internship applications

- Supporting future roles in climate activism, science communication, or fields like meteorology, environmental science, and public policy

- Speaking confidently about modern issues in academic clubs, community forums, or advocacy work

Whether you're preparing for a career in science, policy, or activism, or simply want to understand the forces shaping our future.

This series equips you with the insight, vocabulary, and confidence to make a difference.

Heya!!! My name's Jayden, and I go by Shu or Akkanee. I'm a High Schooler taking outside-of-school courses and random courses and classes I can do for credits and stuff because I'm bored. My grades range from B to an A. Sometimes I did get a C in PE because I'm more of a sit down and learn guy, I don't like exercising, and I may or may have not flunked on that fitness test. I do Scioly (Science Olympiad). Mathematical Gamer (I use slope to aim in WOWS, Why? I mean... It works?) I'm a very funny class taker, as I took probably all the harder stuff first and then suffered in more easier subjects lol. Taking GH (GT) Band (again), and Orchestra outside of school, AGAIN. YEAH SECOND PLACE FOR COUNTY GEOGUESSR HAHAHAHAH Languages I Speak: 16 Dialects 6 Major Languages (Fluently) Korean, Crimean Tatar, English, Dutch, French, and German.
