About

In this intensive workshop, we will cover the entire CAIE Pure 3 § 3.3 syllabus in one go:

1. Six trig graphs for all angles – sine, cosine, tangent and their reciprocals sec, cosec, cot; amplitude, period & asymptotes
2. Core Pythagorean & reciprocal identities – sec²θ ≡ 1+tan²θ, cosec²θ ≡ 1+cot²θ
3. Angle‑addition & double‑angle formulas – sin(A±B), cos(A±B), tan(A±B); sin 2A, cos 2A, tan 2A
4. Express a sin θ + b cos θ as R sin(θ ± α) / R cos(θ ± α) – maximum/minimum applications
5. Equation solving – e.g. 2 sec²θ – tan θ = 5, 3 cos θ + 2 sin θ = 1 within a specified interval
6. CAIE past‑paper problems – guided solutions & timed learner practice

Pace: concept lightning tour → live worked examples → learner practice & discussion → Q&A.

Bring a pen, a calculator / Desmos, and be ready to participate. Prior comfort with basic SOH‑CAH‑TOA is assumed.
