This College Admissions Workshop on The Application is a virtual 2-week workshop that will provide you with information and support to submit your college applications.

In this workshop, you will:
  • Learn the purpose of each part of the application
  • Understand how and when to apply and strategies to consider when making your plan
  • Complete drafts of frequently required parts of the application, such as lists of activities & experiences, and honors & awards
  • Work alongside other students who are also preparing to apply to college.

Hi everyone! My name is Marlene. I’m 42 years old and currently live in Garner, North Carolina, where I’ve been since 2009. Originally, I’m from Rochester, New York, where I was born and raised. I’m a proud graduate student, working toward my Master’s degree in Criminal Justice. My passion lies in supporting others through the justice system, and I’m pursuing a career as a juvenile court counselor and victims advocate. I'm joining Schoolhouse to connect with a supportive learning community, sharpen my academic skills, and give back by helping others grow in their education. I'm excited to be part of this inspiring network!

Please do not miss more than one session over the four weeks, as that will negatively affect your learning and may also take up a spot from another learner who could have attended every session.

If you reach two unexcused absences, your tutor may remove you from this series.
