This will be an introduction and overview of the course as well as us starting our first Period which is from 1491-1607. This period covers the interactions of Native American societies and European contact, as well as before contact and how these societies lived and adapted to their environments.

This session will cover Period 2 from 1607-1754. This unit covers colonial society in the Americas with patterns of exchange, interactions, and conflicts.
