SAT English Summer Accelerator with a 1500+ Scorer (Monday and Friday)

About

Want to boost your SAT Reading and Writing score fast and build real test-day confidence? This twice-a-week summer accelerator is designed for you. Led by a 1500+ scorer, each session dives into the exact question types and skills tested by the College Board — with built-in practice test sessions to reinforce your progress.

We’ll cover all key SAT English content areas: Information and Ideas, Expression of Ideas, Standard English Conventions, and Craft and Structure. Each topic is broken into focused lessons across two days a week, so you build momentum and retention without feeling overwhelmed. You’ll learn how to tackle challenging questions about grammar, punctuation, rhetorical synthesis, vocabulary in context, and evidence-based reading — practicing with real SAT-style problems.

Do you abhor the English section? Feel like words like benevolent and ubiquitous belong in another language? Or like Shakespeare is speaking a whole different language? Or frustrated when you have to choose the “best” evidence, but all the options seem right? You’re not alone.

Whether you’re just starting out or aiming for top percentile, this course meets you where you are — helping you move forward with clarity and confidence.

Hi, I’m Matthew – welcome to my profile! I run comprehensive SAT and AP prep courses designed to help students at every level build confidence and achieve their goals. I serve as a Senior Tutor in the SAT Prep Subworld, and I place highly on tutoring leaderboards in SAT Prep, History and the whole platform. I’ve guided students to SAT scores in the 1400s and 1500s, and I focus on creating clear, structured study plans that make test prep feel manageable rather than overwhelming. Outside of tutoring, I play baseball, support the Chicago Cubs and Bears, and play video games. I’m also involved in BPA, Debate, YMSL, NHS, and Mu Alpha Theta/Math Honors Society. I get a lot of questions about my course offerings, so here is an overview. My Master SAT Math courses meet once weekly, and I offer two day and time options with identical sessions. My Excel in SAT English courses follow the same structure, with one weekly session and two day and time options. I also offer SAT Math Accelerator and SAT English Accelerator courses, which meet twice weekly with unique sessions and include review game sessions. Since the Master SAT Math and Excel in SAT English each have two identical courses/sessions with different meeting time/days, I don’t recommend attending both options (two of math or two of english) in the same week, as you’d simply repeat the content. If you want more sessions for math and/or english each week, you can combine the Master and/or Excel courses with Accelerator course(s) covering different material. In total, I host three unique SAT math sessions (one Master and two Accelerator) and three unique SAT English sessions each week (one Excel and two Accelerator). I try to schedule my SAT courses on different days and times so that students can find one that works with their schedules. If one of my courses doesn’t fit your availability, another one of my sessions might, and if not, I can happily recommend other excellent tutors on this platform. I also host AP U.S. Government and Comparative Government and Politics courses. These sessions are helpful for students taking the classes, self-studiers, or anyone who wants to better understand government and political science. As a bonus, you might even gain the knowledge to outwit that one friend or family member... Feel free to reach out anytime if you have questions!

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Attend sessions as you wish! Be polite and respectful to everyone! If you miss three straight sessions without reaching out to me, I will remove you so that someone else can take your space.
