6-A: Describe the evidence and model (Thomson’s Model) that supports the existence of two types of charges in particles and their interactions and use it to explain why some materials (metals) are conductive and others are not (non-metals).
6-B: Distinguish between ionic and molecular compounds based on their formulas, properties and structures.
6-C: Name and write chemical formulas for both ionic and molecular compounds.
6-D: Describe Rutherford’s Gold Foil experiment and the evidence supporting Rutherford’s Nuclear Model.
