I am in 10h grade. My favorite subject is mathematics, including Markov chains, Calculus, Trigonometry, high school geometry, and intermediate algebra. I qualified for the AIME in both my high school freshman as well as sophomore years. I love programming and in silver level of USACO. I spend great amount of my time in research using AI ML, and Markov chains to address sustainability issues. I am the founder and president of the Data Science Club at my high school. I earned Distinguished Honor Roll in Berkeley Math Tournaments in both freshman and sophomore years. During my middle school - I did great in Berkeley mini math tournament, Russian School of Mathematics National examination, Math Kangaroo competitions, and secured top 5% position nationwide in the 2020 AMC 8. I am also an avid chess player. I was South Korea's national champion and represented South Korea in Asian Youth Chess Games in 2017 U8. I have also won multiple championships conducted by Bay Area Chess and was ranked 13th in California Chess State Championship in 2019. I enjoy computers and taught Python programming to elementary and middle school kids during summer. In my free time, I also like playing soccer and swimming.
