About

Hi! My name is Leif (he/him pronouns) and I'm excited to help you all feel more confident about the math section of the SAT! A little bit about me: I'm a high school student in Oregon and I enjoy running cross county, reading, and playing in my school's jazz band.

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Math. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can!

Hi there! My name is Leif and I'm excited to help you with anything SAT, math, or science-related! I'm a high school senior from Oregon with quite a bit of tutoring experience---both in my community and on Schoolhouse---and I also enjoy peer reviewing and especially hosting SAT BC Onboarding Sessions. At school, I participate in cross country and track, Science Bowl, and Model UN, and play the clarinet and tenor sax in the jazz band. My favorite subject is math (calculus-related is best), but I also like studying physics, biology, english, and mandarin Chinese. In my free time, I love to go on runs, read long books (my favorite is Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts), cook/bake, and do portrait photography. In the great outdoors, I enjoy skiing, scuba diving, waterskiing, hiking, and traveling with family. Have a great day, and I look forward to seeing you in a session or discussion thread someday!

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.
