Ask Me Anything!

5th session

Welcome everyone! College is such an exciting page in your life but it can also be stressful if you do not know what to expect. As a UCLA bioengineering student, I understand the value of having a mentor guiding you along the way. I believe that overall the most important goal is to put your best foot forward, because that could be the mots important step of your life. Every student has a unique story, and I want to help you highlight yours in a way that stands out to admissions officers. Along the way, I'll also share insights and recommend colleges that may be a strong fit for you and your goals.

In this course, each session will focus on a key aspect of the college journey--from applications and essays to college life and beyond. I will have mini lessons prepared, but will encourage more open conversations. I will also have handouts prepared for your reference because I know it can be a lot. and while this is a given, feel free to message me over Schoolhouse for additional support. We'll wrap up with an open Q&A session, where you can ask me anything about college, applications, or what it's really like to be an engineering student at UCLA

Course description
1. College Application Overview
2. Choosing the Best Colleges
3. Personal Statement and Supplemental Essays
4. Everything Else LOL (Showcasing Achievements, LOR, Test Scores)
5. Financial Aid and Scholarships
6. What to Expect Your First Year of College
7. Ask Me Anything! (engineering, UCLA, premed/predent, etc)

I look forward to meeting you all!

College applications from scratch for international students

Started

In this series, we’ll cover every aspect of the college application process, from college research to financial aid applications. We’ll dive into everything—your Common App, essays, recommendation letters, and building a strong college list.

All sessions will be discussion-based, so active participation is key. If you’re not ready to share your work and engage in discussion, this might not be the right fit. My goal is to guide and support you, but you’ll be completing your own applications—you’ll do the work, and I’ll help you make it shine.

As an international student who navigated the process independently and earned admission to top institutions with substantial scholarships, I’ll share practical insights and strategies to help you succeed. This series is designed especially for students aiming for strong, competitive college applications.
