AP Chemistry Review

Starts

Each week we will go over a new AP Chemistry Topic to prepare for tests and the AP Exam. Each session will begin with a review of a topic, with an intended start with Unit 1: Atomic Structure and Properties. This will allow us to gain a strong foundation for each topic. At the beginning of the series, we will take a poll and see where students are individually and adjust our starting topic accordingly. We will then go over key points of the unit, followed by questions and specific examples from College Board. If students have problems assigned by teachers we will go through those at the end of the session. I hope to begin each session with a short lecture, and have collaborative discussions of problem approaches and solving.

AP Chemistry: Full Course to a 5

3rd session

Taught by a high school student who scored a 5 in AP Chemistry (among many other 5s) and received a 100% percent in both semesters of the course, AP Chemistry: Full Course to a 5 covers all information necessary to obtain a 5 on the AP Exam. The course is based on the College Board's official Course and Exam Description (CED), and will cover all topics, ranging from atoms and molecules to electrochemistry. It is designed to prepare you both for your class and your AP Exam.

AP Chemistry Help 1-1

4th session

You can request to go over certain topics and we can schedule a session for it. This session is for people who need 1-1 attention or just prefer a small group of students in their session. Sometimes, if you have the same request as another student, I will combine the sessions to make it more efficient! I'll actively engage you, use easy vocabulary, and use drawn-out diagrams to explain hard concepts! As a student who scored a 5 on the AP exam last year, I'm excited to try and help you achieve the same result. Please be mindful and patient when it comes to scheduling, as I will do my best to accomodate you :D

ANY QUESTIONS (Honors/AP Chem Related)

4th session

Hello, my name is Kai, and I hope to major in Chemical Engineering, which is a main reason why I have decided to tutor. I hope to enhance the learner's knowledge of chemistry by hosting sessions where any chemistry-related question can be discussed amongst the members of the meeting.

Chemistry Olympiad Summer-Fall Prep

14th session

Hey guys! My name is Dhruhi I'm excited to work with all of you this summer + fall. As a Chemistry Olympiad participant for over 3 years, I noticed that there were few free Chemistry Olympiad Prep Courses that covered questions above the AP chemistry level so I decided to create this course for all of the talented high school and middle school students in the world that are preparing for the Chemistry Olympiad.

That being said this course will be rigorous and an honors chemistry background is required (reading the Zumdahls textbook would be sufficient to take this class).

In the first class, we will take a diagnostic exam so I can survey the group's proficiency in certain topics.
Generally, each week, we will have a learning objective. The session will start with a 10-20 minute lesson on the topic. Based on the scores, we will do 40-50 minutes of targeted group practice (on Khan Academy AP Chemistry Problems, online Chemoly practice, and official Chemistry Olympiad practice test questions).

Throughout the series, I will provide free resources that you can study from including my own notes, tips, online study guides, practice questions etc and always feel free to message me with any chemistry questions :)

Near the end of the series, we will try taking half and then full length practice exams to assess our growth + check the need for additional Q&A sessions.

As a final note, I am happy to take more learners mid-series but they may have to cover some of the previous material independently.

Happy Studying 📖🧪⚛️!

Strategic AP Chemistry Prep from 5 scorers

17th session

Each week, we’ll cover topics essential to AP Chemistry with the goal of successfully completing the AP exam in May. These sessions are designed for students who have already taken a high school chemistry course or are currently enrolled in AP Chemistry. We’ll begin by focusing on how to study for the course, the best resources available, and effective, strategic study habits. From there, we’ll work through the AP course units, covering all the essential content in an engaging and accelerated way. Once April rolls around, we’ll shift into exam prep mode, using a combination of proven materials and personal strategies we used to help you aim for that 4 or 5. All you’ll need for these sessions is something to write on and with, an AP Classroom account, a calculator, and a motivated mindset. Looking forward to having you here! 😊

Getting a 5 in AP Chemistry

19th session

Taking AP Chemistry in the fall and worried about doing well? This course is for you! In this course, we will cover the AP Chemistry Curriculum as you go through it in your class giving you the opportunity to ask questions and practice. Every session will also include real practice questions from past AP Chemistry Exams to help you prepare for the AP Chemistry Exam in May. This course is designed to help you get an A in your AP Chemistry class and a 5 on the exam in May through practice with real AP Chemistry material, so you understand the underlying chemistry and are able to appy it.

***More sessions will be added as time goes on; this series will go on throughout the entire summer
